Imported from LUNGAROTTI, Torgiano, Italy: A condiment produced with unfermented white grape must, cooked over a low heat and enriched with centenarian balsamic ferments. The sauce is aged for over ten years in a succession of increasingly smaller casks made of seven different types of wood (oak, chestnut, cherry, ash, locust-tree, mulberry and juniper) resulting in a progressive concentration in mass and aromas. Balsamic grape Sauce is an excellent condiment to be used raw for haute cuisine and it blends well with accompanying wine. It enhances the harmony of aromas and flavours, leaving a pleasantly sweet-sour flavour with aftertastes and nuances of the various woods. Since it is so concentrated, only a few drops are sufficient for enriching even the simplest recipes.
Balsamic Grape Sauce: The velvety flavor of Lungarotti grape sauce is so sweet it can be used on fruits as well as salads. An excellent condiment for gourmet food and “haute cuisine”, a few drops enrich even the simplest of recipes. Fermented in a centuries old traditional process in Modena, Italy (home to all balsamic sauces), this special sauce is highly concentrated, so just a few drops will do.
